Conero Film + ADV celebrates film productions—whether independent or branded—that embrace a strong commitment to sustainability. But don’t jump to conclusions just yet—our view of sustainability doesn’t stop at eco-friendly practices.
Sustainability for Conero Film + ADV is:
CREATIVE
Was your work born from a unique collaboration with a brand that gave you full creative freedom? Or perhaps the brand funded the project, yet the work retains an independent spirit. Maybe your passion project came to life with support from an agency or production company. This is what we mean by creative sustainability—a space where creativity isn’t constrained but nurtured, encouraged, and fully supported.
SOCIAL
Does your production celebrate the rich and multifaceted nature of our world, embracing its social, cultural, and economic dimensions? Or does it shine a light on a marginalized part of society? We seek works that amplify underrepresented voices—stories that champion diversity, inclusivity, and the intricate beauty of our complex society.
ENVIRONMENTAL
Does your work explore themes of environmental preservation, or is it a celebration of the beauty and vitality of nature? We are also interested in works created with sustainability in mind, following green protocols to minimize environmental impact.

GENERAL RULES
Entries must be less than 20 minutes in length and have been made after September 2024 and not been entered in previous Conero Film + ADV editions. Every submitted project will automatically be considered for the Conero Award
CATEGORIES
Main
Independent Project
Narrative works, experimental productions, documentaries and anything in-between. We are looking for unbranded 'passion' projects created independently or with the support of a production company. This includes spec ads.
Campaign/Branded Content
Commercials and branded content praising storytelling over product information.
Fashion Film (branded)
Fashion in the broadest sense of the word - it can be a commercial or branded content.
Fashion Film (unbranded)
Fashion in the broadest sense of the word - an independent experimental or narrative-led production.
Music Video (under €10k budget)
Music Video (over €10k budget)
Student Work
Aspiring filmmakers in this category have the opportunity to showcase their music videos, fashion films, independent productions, personal work and campaigns/branded content.

Conero Award
The 2024 edition of Conero Film + ADV marked the introduction of the Conero Award. This special award is brought to you in collaboration with EcoMuvi, renowned for their dedication to concretely reducing the environmental impacts within the industry, working closely with each department and activity of a film or commercial project.
The Conero Award celebrates works that demonstrate meticulous adherence to transparent protocols across pre-production, production, and post-production phases. By entering any of our categories, your work will automatically be considered for the Conero Award, based on the information provided during the submission process.
The Conero Award was introduced to support a more conscious way of filming, through which we seek to inspire positive change and elevate awareness of eco-sustainability in film and commercial projects.
